About Me

About Me

Hi,

I chase, find and tell the human stories hidden inside numbers, objects and cities.

As a journalist, researcher, presenter, producer, and creative storyteller with over 10 years of experience, my core expertise lies in economics & politics. I am also an archeology enthusiast, jazz addict, lindyhop dancer and quite in love with memories of the cities and objects (some call it vintage or antiques).

At their core, all my interests and areas of expertise meet in the same place: stories and details. What I do best is translating subjects often perceived as technical or dull into engaging narratives that connect directly with everyday life.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Later, I received my master’s degree in Global Journalism in Sweden. To this day, I worked with leading media outlets including Al Jazeera Turk, Bloomberg HT, Independent Turkish, and Ekotürk, taking on roles from reporting and producing to being the Ankara representative.

I’ve also collaborated on international projects with organizations such as Sydney Morning Herald, CEE Bankwatch Network, and Balkan Investigative Reporting Network.

Today, I continue my work as a freelance writer, fixer, and project partner, collaborating with media organizations, institutions, and independent initiatives.
